Made of pure ebonite, Saebath absorbs light as though it thirsts for it, to drink it down and kill it. The design of the shortsword is pure simplicity, as though it were made by a very patient apprentice weaponsmith.
Whenever Saebath strikes a living opponent with an intelligence of 2 or more, dark tendrils of shadow magic from the sword afflict the opponent's body. He must save against magical spells as though he had been the target of a 13th level mage casting 'spook'. Opponents immune to spells from the illusion/phantasm school are immune to Saebath's ability, although creatures with 'true sight' are not.
