Regression

(Level 8 Alteration Spell)

Range: 30yds
Duration: Permanent
Area of Effect: One Person
Components: VS
Casting Time: 8
Saving Throw: Negate

This powerful spell was first cast by the lich Prikdannon during the Battle of the Undead. The spell turned adult dwarves into toddlers, though they kept adult memories.

When cast at any individual, the spell regresses him to within 1d4 years of his birth. A nine-hundred year old High Elf could be reduced to three years of age. Individuals are allowed a Saving Throw versus spells at a -2 penalty. Affected individuals roll 1d4 to determine their age after the spell wears off. Regressed persons retain all of their memories and knowledge (including weapon and nonweapon proficiencies), though physical ability may be restrained. A year-old toddler may know how to fight with a sword, or use the privie, but doing so is a different matter altogether.
