When this spell is cast, it calls into creation a large, blank book. The book is well-bound, and has a special, water-tight cover. Once sealed, the rag-based parchment inside the book is secured against several hours submersion under water. The seal is non-magical, but based upon a simple, clever mechanism. The book contains exactly one hundred blank pages, each page being roughly 8 ˝ by 11 inches. Inside the cover will be found the signet of a bear reading a book, inscribed in platinum.
The book is non-magical, and cannot be destroyed with a ‘dispel magic’ spell, or similar magic.
The material components of the spell are a piece of parchment with the signet on it, and a twenty-platinum piece, both of which are consumed during the casting.
