The Anchoring Rings

These rings were made of pure mithrel, with a quarter-carat emerald inset in them. Each ring protected its wearer's equipment (and anything within 5') from disjunction. This protection from disjunction functioned at 95%, but was subject to penalties as a magic resistance. The rings worked by 'anchoring' the magic of items within 5', whenever spells such as 'Mordenkainen's disjunction' attempted to disjoin them.

The five rings were supposedly created on the Plane of Oerth by a mage known as Nimbar. Their arrival coincided with the arrival of the god Arpelos, and so the rings are thought to have been linked to the three protectors that Arpelos arrived with.
