Abode is a world caught in the throws of disaster. A dragon-god, an elemental lord of water, and a demon from the 665th layer of the Abyss are all vying against one another for control of this tiny little world on the edge of nowhere. Caught in the middle of these three titanic powers and their minions, are all the humanoids of Abode. Orcs and ogres stand alongside elves and dwarves on the front lines, while all support humans and mermen, and many others in a fight for survival. No portion of the planet has escaped battle, from the poles to the depths of the darkest oceans.
The three super-powers fight one another with krakens and dragons and undead, battling for a powerful artifact that is best left unnamed by even the bravest of men. And the men just fight for survival.
Well, so goes the thinking. Abode is the background world to the Military Rangers that were sent to Brijanis. Whether I ever run a campaign, here, or not, is anyone's guess.
