Current Status: Spring, 1330 Avard. After a disagreement with then Captain Seamus, Lucian left off his adventuring for a time to study at Lok Magius. When the War of the Four Winds struck, the adventuring bug was reignited in Lucian. He was hunted down by the half-dragon Xzax and they began to search anew for the fabled Al Mudim of legend. He and Xzax were last seen sailing east towards Wuron S'fa with the drow'ari N'Kara.
Male Sylvan Elf, 4th-Level Sorceror, 1st-Level Wizard
Skills: Concentration +8, Disguise +4, Knowledge (arcana) +6, Perform (singing) +8, Sense Motive +6, Spellcraft +6. Appearance: A slight sylvan elf with white hair and dark blue eyes, Lucian attracts more than his fair share of looks wherever he goes. His nondescript clothing of darker earth tones blends in with his well-traveled hiking boots, and sometimes he wears a small pack over his shoulders. His brooding eyes and drawn brows serve to keep many at bay, suspecting the elf of being either a master fighter or a formidable opponent of some sort. Lucian "dresses lightly, walks heavily, and thinks mightily," as Huzar Ye'amen al Sharral once described him. He keeps his white hair immaculately clean, with two thin braids down either side of his face. When he travels away from people, or when in the comfort of friends, he prefers to dress in loose, flowing black clothing that makes his hair seem to glow with an inner light. His dark blue eyes occasionally seem to glow, as well, as though there were too much energy within his thin elven body. Rarely does his elven heirloom see the light, but when it does, it tends to make his hair take on a pinkish tinge, and his tanned skin takes on a reddish, sunburned appearance. Background: The elven village of Terrace -- probably the place for whom Teras was named -- was located roughly a day's ride east of modern-day Avath on a small branch of the Galanus River. The well-secluded sylvan elves that survived the hordes of the undead first raised by Demik Coruth, escaped into the forests and later joined the nation of Rakore. Lucian himself simply became a peddler of sorts, using his good looks and elven style to bargain heavily with the humans of the region. Having travelled the width and breadth of Rakore since its inception as a nation, Lucian was a font of knowledge about Rakore. In all his travels, the young elf yearned to learn more about his family heirloom, and the strange powers within himself. Intimidated by the strongholds of Lok Giran and Lok Magius, and fearful that the Inquisition might find him despite Rakoran assurances to protect mages, Lucian began to realize that the answers he sought would have to lie outside his usual circle of travel. It was then that he joined forces with Huzar Ye'amen al Sharral of Al Fahim to find the long-lost artifact Al Mudim, and destroy it. Feigning the drinking of Ye'amen's potion of geas, Lucian's ultimate goals are his own -- but he sees the adventure as a welcome chance to explore himself outside of Rakore, despite the risk of the Inquisition. Roleplaying Notes: Lucian is a sly, resourceful young elf that is ever watchful and cunning. A friendly elf by nature, he can turn on his charm with anyone he speaks with, though he can also place fear and dread deep into someone's heart when his mood changes. Lucian prefers to watch others from a distance, hiding in plain sight, and offering his advice only when necessary. His familiar is a large part of his life, and he keeps the small falcon close to him for mutual protection. His natural penchant for languages -- written and spoken -- perhaps flowed into his familiar such that it can speak in the Elven tongue.
Familiar: Alora is a small sival falcon from the Rakoran Forests. She was found as a fledgling by Lucian during his travels, and his own experiences convinced him to care for the abandoned bird-of-prey. A plague of unknown origins swept through the Rakoran peninsula, killing many of the falcons and hawks in the region, leaving the fledgling Alora on her own and without parents to care for her. Lucian's attachment to the bird has allowed for an infusion of his draconic energies into Alora, and she has since become his familiar. All black, save for the tips of her primary feathers, Alora is barely as long as a elf's forearms from the tip of her beak to the ends of her tail feathers. The small sival falcon has taken on celestial characteristics -- either due to Lucian's growing power, or perhaps due to Prophecy.
