![]() Alignment: chaotic evil Portfolio: demons, demon summoning, monster summoning Alias: "The Demon God" Races: Humans Symbol: demon's horns Pennon: red and orange Animal Totem: demons Dictate: "Tear their limbs apart, and feast upon their souls." Physical Description: Argunas is depicted as he exists -- as a demon lord. Great bull's horns, adorning a fanged skull with pointed ears, atop a muscular body with the legs of a goat, are typical. More often than not, he is covered in flames of some sort, burning anything he touches. History: In all probability, he was accidently summoned by one of the other gods of evil. He arose rather suddenly before the Shaping Wars, gaining a great deal of power in a small amount of time. Operating from the Heavansbane Mountains in Southern Galanath, his priests summoned vast armies of demons and evil creatures. Argunas was defeated in the middle of the wars, his armies razed to dust by the elementalists, and the other factions of the war. Argunas and his followers persisted for several centuries after the Shaping Wars, but they eventually dwindled away to nothing. Since no one has seen or heard from the deity's minions in millennia, he is presumed dead -- though the 'details' of the death vary from culture to culture. Afterlife: Very few holy books exist on Argunas, and most of the writings of his followers and priest-summoners have disappeared. It's thought that Argunas' afterlife is very similar to the Abyss from which he was summoned, but it's unsure how the demon-god gains from the souls of his followers. Relic: Argunas' progression from demon to demon-god may have something to do with his Relic -- shaped from pritanium, a substance found only in the Abyss. It was lost during the Shaping Wars, and assumed destroyed. Coffers: Most of his monies flowed from barbaric thefts brought about by his demons and black-mail. Priests threatening to call down the wrath of Argunas were very persuasive at getting what they wanted. In addition, followers who were not priests made offerings to keep themselves and theirs safe.
