Quitzara

The Quitzara are special servants of the Church of Lul, trained as elite spies and smugglers. Loyal servants to the various sects of the Church, some are for and some are against the Inquisition; regardless, the Quitzara are key to the Church of Lul's reputation as the Merchant's Church.

Clerics of Lul, and its bards and rogues, most often feel the need to assume the title of Quitzara. More rarely, monks and rangers feel the need become the most elusive of the Merchant God's servants. Some paladins with a penchant for stealth assume the title of Quitzara, but few other classes feel the call of Lul so strongly.

Treated by members of other churches as worse than scum, the Quitzara are only valued by the Church of Lul and its constituents. The Quitzara, however, are able and capable escape artists, capable of sewing chaos and confusion in their wake. Their ability to steal, ferret, and market anything from information to valuables makes them a formidable force in the underworlds of Gaeleth.

Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Quitzara prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Var Gauf is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, and small and medium armor. Note the penalties for armor heavier than leather apply to the skills Balance, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, and Swim.
Spells: A Quitzara continues to advance in her prayer-casting abilities, as though she had continued to advance as a cleric of Lul instead of as a Quitzara.
Ethereal Merchandise: Beginning at 1st-level, a Quitzara of Lul can hide a single item of up to five pounds of non-living matter ethereally. Organic matter such as books and the leather wrappings of a dagger handle are unharmed, but a mouse or a other living creature would be mind-wiped by the ethereal jaunt. This ability increases such that the Quitzara gains the ability to hide up to five more pounds each level. Matter stored in this manner follows the Quitzara about in the ethereal plane, relative to the location on her body as when she stored it. Thus Cadmira, a 3rd-level Quitzara, could hide a 15lb sword ethereal at waist height, and have it reappear at waist height for a fight, and then store 10lbs of gold and 5lbs of silver in a leather pouch ethereally. Objects stored thus are visible to anyone with true sight, and sentient magic items are also mind-wiped if they fail a Will save versus the level of the Quitzara plus ten, plus her Wisdom bonus.
Speedy Spells: A Quitzara may use the feat Quicken Spells to speed the casting of her spells, but the spell thus quickened only requires a slot one level higher than it is.
Haggling: Capable of interpreting even the slightest change in posture or attitude, a Quitzara can haggle the price up or down on any single item. The buyer or seller is allowed a Willpower saving throw versus a base DC of 10, plus the Quitzara's Charisma bonus, if any. If the buyer or seller fails this saving throw, then the Quitzara can manipulate the price by a percentage based off of her level (see below). This ability can be used any time money is changing hands, but is inapplicable to bartering.
Quill Possession: If a Quitzara takes the necessary time to set up a properly divined quill, then she can make the quill jot her thoughts down, no matter where she is. Most Quitzara use this ability to update their diaries, but many also use Quill Possession as a means of communication. A Quitzara may only have one properly divined quill at a time, and it must lie near some parchment or book that is faithfully endowed to roll and unroll or turn the page as desired. The ability creates a sentance of no more than twenty-five words, and can be invoked a number of times per day, dependant upon the Quitzara's level.
Twist Divination: If a Quitzara succeeds at a Willpower saving throw versus the DC of any divination spell, then she can opt to manipulate the divination so that it returns false readings to its caster, without the caster's knowledge. This ability begins at 5th-level.
Bondage Slide: Using a method similar to ethereal merchandise, a Quitzara cannot be held by any conventional bonds, beginning at 2nd level. She can slip free of a number of bonds per day, dependant upon her level, as though the bonds did not exist. No Escape Bonds check is needed if this ability is invoked.
