KERITH SENDANT, the Green Ghost

Current Status: Summer, 1331 Avard. Kerith was reunited with the remainder of the Sendant Clan in Wuron S'fa. He has since aided several of the dragons and his clan, serving as a 'master farmer' of sorts, and improving the defensive stance of the Dragon Nation.

Possessions: Kerith's most prized possession is his family pendant, an amulet of silver shaped to resemble the head of a silver dragon. Like many druids, Kerith travels lightly, with only his leather armor, a scimitar, a few daggers, and a pack full of his miscellaneous sundries. In the pack are articles ranging from fishhooks to whetstones.

Appearance: A slight elf with a scimitar at his side, and hard-worn leather armor about his torso and thighs, Kerith appears a brooding, dangerous elf. Rippling, corded muscles stand out beneath his sun-bronzed skin, and his light brown braid has blonde highlights from years of sun. His hazel eyes seem the color of the midday sky and the color of the deep forest all at once, adding to his appearance.

Background: The Sendant Clan of elves has existed for millennia within the eastern portion of the Linshala Forests. Hidden and secluded from most of the outside world, the clan was nearly destroyed by a Miana-led force of crusaders and Inquisitors. Although the clan had forsaken real magic in deference to the Voice of the Prophets and the will of the gods, they maintained strong ties to the ancient -- and magical -- dragons, even passing on the draconic tongue to their children and their children's children. Because of their ties to the dragons, the city-state of Miana feared for its existance, and called for aid from the Fourth Crusades and the Holy City of Karmen.

After the destruction of the Sendant Clan, Kerith found himself a wanderer throughout much of the eastern Linshala Forests. He earned a fair reputation among the hard-bitten farmers and small holdings in the land, despite his elven background, and the propoganda of Miana. Healing the wounded, and helping the crops, Kerith eventually was led by grateful land-holders to his sister, Aerlyn, whom he had thought dead. The two worked together among the farmers and smaller towns, proving the words of Miana hollow through their actions and deeds. When the War of the Undead broke out, the two were particularly heroic, and forced many narrow-minded humans to accept elves as equals for all that the two did.

During their heroic missions, the two found their third sibling, Artimus, whom they had also thought dead. Their over-joy at finding one another amidst the War of the Undead was soiled, as they were all three captured by Alekdan pirates seeking to exploit the chaos of the various battles. Tattooed and enslaved, the three were taken back to the Alekdan Principalities to serve under the Pirate Prince Togrom Devilscare. Kerith worked as the prince's personal gardner, overseeing both the gardens, and the work of the farmers around the island. When Togrom's reach exceeded his grasp, the other pirate princes exploited his weaknesses, and destroyed him overnight. Seeking to escape with his brother and sister, Kerith set sail aboard a small fishing sloop for the northwest, hoping to outrun the dread creatures of the night that had destroyed Togrom's principality.

Roleplaying Notes: Kerith's past and background are tinged by the great evils that mankind can accomplish, from the Inquisition to the Alekdan Pirates. Despite such evil, he maintains a core of the good, kindly soul he might once have been. A healer of both animals and plants, he quietly studies everything around him with inquisitive eyes. Though his appearance appears grim and foreboding, he is actually a kindly-hearted elf with the wisdom of well over a century behind his searching eyes.

Animal Companion: Tiberius is an older, lazy wolf that prefers simply to watch the world go on around him -- unless his pack is in danger, or hungry. Seeing all of the Sendants as his pack, he is content with his role as Beta Male, hunting and foraging wherever he may. The grizzly wolf is deadly afraid of spiders, and the bigger they are, the harder he tries to hide. Trip (Ex): A wolf that hits with a bite attack can attempt to trip the opponent as a free action (see page 139 in the Player's Handbook) without making a touch attack or provoking an attack of opportunity. If the attempt fails, the opponent cannot react to trip the wolf. Skills: *Wolves receive a +4 racial bonus to Wilderness Lore checks when tracking by scent.
