An AD&D Forgotten Realms campaign, as run by Todd Antill, as written by Kaladin "Kal" Osterus.
When he was fifteen years old, studying the arts of magic, young Kaladin's family was assassinated. Fleeing for his life from his home city of Athkatla, Amn, young Kaladin spent the next ten years wandering the south. He worked in a variety of professions, never staying anywhere for long, always watching out for the Shadow Thieves -- the organization that wanted the last of the Osterus family dead. His fingers became permanently ink-stained, for he was very good with the quill. Kaladin also earned a living as a sneaker, legally breaking into buildings to show the owners how better to render their world safe against thieves, spies, and assassins. Assuming different names, and moving constantly, Kaladin finally found himself in Llaurbauth, Erlkazar. Desperate for paying work in the fledgling nation, Kaladin signed up for escort duty with one Nerin Jhanerael. So begins the Kaladin Chronicles.
