The Ticata of Gaeleth are considered indigenous, although they probably originated from another world entirely.  They tend to be centaur-like, in that they have the lower body of a large feline, and the upper torso of a half-feline, half fox, with arms that have opposable thumbs.  Their coloration makes their paws, hands, ears, muzzle, and the ends of their tails black, but the rest of their coats range from light dun to red to brown to white.

 

The Ticata can sometimes be found in the Tarsis Forest of northern Halganath, but smaller, more isolated tribes exist in other forested areas.  (For more detailed information, consult the Ticata entry in the Monsters section of Gaeleth.)

Ticata Base Racial Features

All of the following are base racial abilities for the Ticata of Gaeleth.

Ability Score Adjustments:  +2 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma.

Size:  Ticata are Medium size.

Speed:  Ticata base land speed is 40 feet, and their base climb speed is 20 feet.
Low-light vision (Ex):  Ticata tend to have exception low-light vision.

Automatic Languages:  Ticata.  Bonus Languages:  Common.
Feats:  Ticata have the ability to use the Scent ability.
Skills: Ticata receive a +4 racial bonus to their Climb, Jump, and Listen checks.

Favored Class:  Ranger.  A multiclass Ticata's ranger class does not count when determining whether an experience point penalty applies.
