Bow make distinctive sounds when they are released, and one way to reduce that sound is to use muffles. Bow muffles are essentially furry or stringy balls attached near the ends of the bowstring, and significantly reduce the amount of noise made by the bowstrings. The trade-off is a significant reduction in power and sometimes accuracy. Most bow muffles are rather cheap, and home made versions work quite well.

There are some things available uniquely to Gaeleth, or under very unique circumstances. Few conventional merchants might carry them, but sometimes a man can get lucky and find a powerful mercantile exchange or a local dealer that carries the unique items. In other cases, items are quite commonplace in Gaeleth and almost nowhere else.

The seas of Gaeleth are ferocious -- not only because it is a moon world orbitting a brown dwarf star, but also because the Goddess of the Seas, Olorin, demands daily payment for the use of her waters -- or dark consequences follow. The ships that sail the sea are therefore vitally important to national economies, exploration, communication, and even war. Aboriac Sea (a bOr' ee ak'): This large body of water, nestled between the continents of Halganeth, Baroneth, and Galanath, has water connections to the Sea of Kiriath, the Gulf of Teras (via the Straights of Sloph), and the Tamineth Ocean. The waters of the Aboriac tend to be somewhat rough, though the fishing is excellent.

Gaeleth is a SisterWorlds campaign world with a rich history, dating back over ten thousand years into recorded history. It is a large world, full of mages, gods, dragons, and more. More than half-covered in water, with vast expanses of land, it suffers from mage-controlled weather patterns, remnants of the ancient ways, and the gravitic tug of being a moon world to the brown dwarf star known as Maroth.

What is magic?

There are as many answers as there are questions, across the planes, on all the worlds, throughout the multiverse. On Gaeleth, and throughout the Sisterworlds, we have adopted the ADN Protocols of magic. These protocols -- defining Arcane, Divine, and Natural magic -- do not change the nature of the game, or alter anything already available in the general manuals. What they do is give players a base for understanding the background, rational, and mentality of Gaeleth's spell-slin…

The ADN Protocols redefine spells as either Arcane, Divine, or Natural in origin. Though the spell effects may be essentially the same, the origin of the magic governing a spell, and the powers that shape the spell, may differ from mage to priest to druid. The different origins of the magic, and the different rules governing them, do not alter or change game-play in any measurable way. They do, however, further define the magic -- a necessary step on a world as polarized about magic as Gaeleth.
