Title: Bouncing Up The River
Date: Mid Davor, 1332 Avard
Synopsis: Greff and Felix take the long route to Mount Basilisk, and interview bouncers at the Green Fist Tavern.
Late evening of the 11th of Davor, 1332 Avard.
Short Version: With a major call to arms going through the duchy, William advised Felix and Greff to go to Mount Basilisk by sea. Word had come in via Hershel that representatives of ME were wanted at the king's court. Iron Jon and several others had already been executed, and an insurrection put down, all thanks to ME. Hershel had exonerated the position of Ducal Mage, and was reinstated as owner and manager of Meridian Explorations, thanks to the fast work of 'his' people. William was perfectly happy to be rid of the managerial duties of ME, and wanted Felix and whomever else went to investigate a few things for him. He wanted a rubbing of the totem in Caerne's Pass, and wanted the team to interview a Stonehammer dwarf by the name of Margrin. Greff and Felix spent an extra day in Teras waiting for the tides, before catching a sloop known as the Golden Lance. The Golden Lance had a rather bawdy crew, and there was much drinking and partying. When the ME team arrived in Teras the next morning, they had perhaps three marks of time to check on the Green Fist Tavern before catching a river sloop heading upriver. While there, they interviewed bouncers for the manager – Greff even going so far as to go toe-to-toe with several aspiring individuals. They made a few friends, and hired an orog (half orc, half ogre) as well as a former orc ranger with a mohawk that was at least as dangerous as the ME team. From there, the team traveled upriver to Avath, where they stayed the night. The baroness was out, so Greff and Felix rode round the town, seeing it in the waning light, before asking plenty of questions of a traveling bard. There were plenty of spiders about, and the bard speculated that another spider queen was in the area. The next day, the team left for Rilan. Felix checked in briefly at Lok Magius, using the Silver Gauntlet to teleport up the mountain and back relatively quickly, while Greff enjoyed the drinks at the Blue Tyven inn. From there, the team traveled upriver to Mount Basilisk, staying overnight at Lok Sadic and Tikira, where they said goodbye to the river sloop Troll Bait.

Dinner was spicy sausage dogs and boudain. The lot of us seemed to be pretty whupped, so we called it a bit early – so that Bill could install a new window pane at his house. Apparently, a bamboo spear went through the window, and Ross was not involved. Nope. Not involved at all. Despite Facebook pictures to the contrary.
