The team returned to Firland, claiming failure in finding the gems the dwarf sought. The rogue in the party, though, has the one gem the dwarf wants – and is apparently willing to kill for. During a night's rest at the Silver Slyph, the rogue attacks and nearly recaptures his birthright, a giant emerald that once graced the crowns of his ancestors. After defeating the dwarf, the local toughs verify the birthright and concede victory to the team, but remove the gem for the good of the kingdom.
